Membership in the San Diego EAS list is restricted to those individuals connected with agencies, organisations, and broadcast or cable facilities with direct oversight or interaction with the FCC mandated Emergency Alert System or Government agencies authorized to request an activation of the Emergency Alert System.
No emergency messages are distributed via this list. The purpose of this list is to provide technical information to radio, tv, and cable systems in the San Diego operational area to help them comply with the rules and regulations governing EAS.
